This 1966 Rickenbaker had been modified in the past to accomodate a humbucking pickup in the neck position. Then and attempt was made to restore it. In the pictures you can see the wood putty used to fill the hole left by the unfortunate, past modification. We found a piece of mapel that matched well and set to preparing the hole and fitting the maple and finishing it. Then we masked the finished rosewood finger board to be able to level, crown and polish the frets without damaging the fingerboard. Then we set up the guitar including the unique Rickenbaker dual truss rod and very unique bridge to play. The guitar looks much better and plays great!
