Broken Bassoon Tenon Replacement

Bassoon bodies are typically made of maple. The points at which the pieces of the Bassoon connect are called Tenons. When a tenon breaks it needs to be replaced. To replace the tenon we start by removing the broken tenon and preparing the body to receive the new tenon. We then build the new tenon on the lathe and insert it into the body.
