I was so incredibly impressed and charmed by this shop and its owners! Purchasing a new instrument here was not just a transaction. The owners truly care about what they do and want you to love your new instrument and be successful. They are definitely not just in it for the money. I don’t think they would have let us leave without feeling absolutely satisfied that we knew what we were doing when it comes to my son’s new oboe. Knowing that the oboe is finicky and not a super common choice, they spent extra time (basically a mini-lesson) teaching us both how to assemble the oboe, care for the reeds, clean the oboe, and they helped my son play his first notes. Getting a new instrument is such a special time, and they treated that moment the way it should be, enhanced it, even. Thank you so much for sharing your passion with us! It was our first time, but you’ve made us customers for life!
I had my Gibson Mastertone Banjo originally set up in Nashville but was never happy with the string height. While passing through Idaho falls I stopped by Musicare and Jim Sevy did a super professional job setting it up correctly. If you want to fall in love with your instrument again, take it Jim. Awesome work!!!
If I could give this business 6 stars I would. I bought my first professional instrument there. Since that day, I've always been welcome to drop by for an adjustment here and there. The owner is a fabulous man and an incredibly talented repairman. As long as I live in this area, I'll only go to MusiCare for my instrument's needs.
I have been taking my saxophones to Musicare for regulation and repair for many years. Their work is top notch. They are also always willing to take a quick look at my instruments and have even made a quick minor modification or two at no charge!
Excellent work on my saxophone and clarinet. These folks are very skilled, knowledgeable and friendly. Idaho Falls is lucky to have this shop.
I’ve had every guitar I’ve owned set up by the guys at music care with the exception of one that I had to take to them to have reset up because the other guys did a horrible job! I’ve had amps worked on by them as well as select woodwind instruments of mine and they, without fail always exceed my expectations! There isn’t anything they can’t do! If you need anything done on any instrument, don’t waste your time with someone else! Take it to the guys at music care and get it done right the first time!
Just had 2 guitars repaired. An old Kramer and a newer Schecter. The both play better than when they were new. Awesome job. I'll definitely be back with more guitars.
I refuse taking my clarinet to anyone else but music care, even when I lived out of state. They are amazing!
I take my guitars and amplifiers exclusively to Musicare. I also had an antique flute and antique violin restored to beautiful conditions. The staff is extremely knowledgeable, talented and friendly. I highly recommend them!
I've been going to MusiCare for a multitude of music needs for over twenty years these guys know their craft well they are very accommodating to you're special music needs I can't recommend them highly enough!
Jim is a great listener and understands exactly what the customer wants. He has worked on many of my guitars over the years and understands my need for high gain for extreme metal music. He has made sure that everything is wired and dialed to 11 to make my instruments into sonic flamethrowers! Thank you, Jim and MusiCare!!!
I can't say enough about this place! The owners are so friendly it makes me wish they were family. My daughter had her trombone cleaned and adjusted and 4 days later we brought it back because it got damaged at school. He remembered us and her instrument so he could tell precisely what was wrong with it. Very personable and knowledgeable. Go to MusiCare for all your musical needs.
Dave renovated my 51 year-old Leblanc "Duke" series tenor sax and then Dave repaired an issue with the case that had caused the problems with my sax. I had taken it to two other shops who worked on it for a combined three weeks and got nowhere. Could not be happier with the work and the way they treated me. Only place to go in Eastern Idaho
I am a raving fan of MusiCare. I left my "new to me" used Bundy II tenor saxophone with them in hopes that they could fix some serious dents. Now it looks fantastic! And it plays better now...Thanks so much!
What a fantastic store! I bought a used clarinet for my daughter, and with the instrument came a couple hours of time from helping give instructions on proper assembly, and help picking out the right mouth piece.
This is my go to team whenever my guitars, my wife's violin, or ANY of my family's instruments, need servicing. They REALLY care about the work that they do, and their expertise shows in every inch of their work. Thank you for always taking care of me! Because of you I can relax and focus on practicing, but let me know if you figure out how to do that for me too!
MusiCare is a little hole in the wall place that all serious musicians in the area knows about. This is one place you can feel confident about getting the best care and price for your instruments. They have been at this location for 40 years and I have always had good experiences there, starting with the purchase of a used intermediate clarinet 30 years ago, to repairing my saxophone just this past week.
Excellent shop. They did a great job with my precious guitar. Even with high guage strings. and super low tuning, they made my guitar perfect. I'll never go anywhere else ever again. Highly recommend.
Jim has taken great care of several of my guitars over the years. He has repaired wiring issues and swapped pickups in a few of my electric guitars, and more recently did a set-up on a used acoustic guitar I had just picked up. His work is top notch and his customer service is phenomenal as well! Between he and his dad, they'll get anything you've got fixed up and sounding fantastic! I strongly recommend them to anyone who needs an instrument repair or an assessment of a vintage/antique instrument.
Saved a guitar that was deemed un fixable by other companies. Sounds beautiful 🙂 very thankful . Reasonable price as well 🙂
This guy is amazing! We took our middle schoolers trumpet in to see what he could do. Some kid had smashed it against the floor repeatedly and the bell was all misshapen. We assumed it was a loss. He was able to reshape the bell, fix the valves that were stuck, and fix some things we didn't even know were damaged (we bought it used). He also gave it an acid bath and gave us care instructions with video links for our kids to watch. It now plays better than it ever had for us. He really knows his stuff! So glad we found this little repair shop!
Great Service! It was very fast and my trumpet looks amazing! It had a massive dent in the bell and a dent in the pipe that hadn’t come out in years. Amazing work! Looks brand new!
This is an honest, salt of the earth, family run business. I was magnetically drawn into this store by the instrument displays in the windows. I hadn’t picked up a French horn since 1998 and the older gentlemen were so kind to let me try out their one French horn that was for sale. It was reasonably priced and I even got a free 60 second music lesson!!
I called to get a guitar set up for the first time and the price was very fair! They even got it back to me the same day, they do incredible work!
Replaced my amplifier tubes and checked everything else to make sure it was all working properly. Then I had them tune up my acoustic guitar with smoothing over the frets, crowning them, and straightening the neck. Amazing work, reasonable prices, fast and efficient, friendly customer service.
If you need any kind of technical work done to an instrument that you're uncomfortable doing yourself, this is the place to go.
